Eligibility Requirements
To hold this assistantship, students must:

Maintain a minimum cumulative graduate GPA of 3.0.

Be registered for at least 9 graduate credits during each term of the assistantship.

Be enrolled as a full-time graduate student in good academic standing.

Current enrollment in a graduate degree or certificate program

Position Overview
The Graduate Assistant (GA) in the Clinical Practice and Partnerships Office (CPPO) supports the daily operations of the office and assists with the coordination of clinical experiences, field placements, student teaching, candidate communication, data management, and school-university partnerships.
The GA works collaboratively with the Director and CPPO staff to support teacher education candidates throughout the clinical placement process while helping ensure accurate records, timely communication, and adherence to the College of Education's policies and procedures.
This position requires a high degree of professionalism, organization, initiative, confidentiality, attention to detail, and responsiveness when working with candidates, faculty, mentor/cooperating teachers, school administrators, and community partners. The position also provides the Graduate Assistant with opportunities to strengthen professional skills in communication, leadership, project management, data management, problem-solving, and organizational operations within a higher education setting.
Job Description
This is an in-person position. Remote work is not available for this Graduate Assistantship. The Graduate Assistant is expected to work assigned hours on-site in the Clinical Practice and Partnerships Office and maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
The Graduate Assistant will support the work of the Clinical Practice and Partnerships Office through responsibilities that may include:

Assist CPPO staff with general office operations, including reception, telephone coverage, mail, filing, document preparation, and other administrative responsibilities.

Serve as an initial point of contact for candidates and respond to routine questions regarding clinical practice applications, placement processes, schedules, transportation, deadlines, and other CPPO procedures; refer questions to the appropriate staff member when necessary.

Assist with candidate data collection, entry, verification, maintenance, and retrieval within applicable systems, databases, and shared electronic records, including CPPO Google Drive documents.

Support the review of candidate application materials, including resumes and cover letters, and provide appropriate recommendations for improving professionalism, clarity, formatting, and presentation.

Assist with preparing, organizing, and distributing large-scale communications to candidates, faculty, mentor/cooperating teachers, school administrators, and other partners.

Assist with clinical placement processes and documentation to help ensure compliance with CEHSS policies, procedures, program requirements, and established placement expectations.

Support the Director and appropriate CPPO staff in monitoring and promoting diverse clinical placement experiences for teacher education candidates.

Assist with mentor/cooperating teacher recruitment, including correspondence, recruitment materials, follow-up communication, and collection and organization of mentor teacher availability information.

Support the development and maintenance of semester and annual placement data, reports, presentations, dashboards, and other materials used to communicate CPPO activities and outcomes.

Assist the Director with special projects, initiatives, research, data analysis, presentations, events, and partnership activities as assigned.

Assist with maintaining and updating CPPO webpages, online resources, and appropriate social media accounts; periodically review webpages to identify outdated information, inactive links, or needed updates.

Assist with maintaining office calendars, schedules, meetings, deadlines, and other operational records in collaboration with CPPO administrative staff.

Participate in CPPO staff meetings, training sessions, and other meetings as requested.

Provide appropriate guidance, support, and mentorship to undergraduate student employees and work-study interns assigned to the office.

Assist with special events, candidate orientations, information sessions, recruitment activities, and other CPPO-sponsored initiatives as needed.

Maintain professional and confidential handling of student, personnel, school district, and university information.

Perform other duties and special assignments consistent with the mission and operational needs of the Clinical Practice and Partnerships Office.
