    Compensation:

    Total $6,000 per semester between tuition and stipend. GA must take some payment in both tuition and stipend categories.

    Job Description and Key Responsibilities including Virtual/Remote Expectations:
    There is no remote work possible for this position.
    The Box Office Graduate Assistant will assist in planning and supervising for ticketed events at SUNY Oswego. GA will work with student ticket agents staffed at walk up windows and scanning staff. Assistant will also work with an Assistant Manager and Manger at the Tyler and Marano Center Box Offices and satellite locations in planning and as scheduled for event night management. This position is for the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters.  GA may assist in the coordination, recruitment, scheduling and training of ticket scanning staff for events at SUNY Oswego and to cover weekly walk up window hours. Assist in supervision of and training  to provide positive guest relations at college events while serving as ambassadors of SUNY Oswego to the community.

    Successful candidate will develop, deepen and hone skills in customer relations, problem solving and organization/supervisory roles.

    Any restrictions to the type of student who would be eligible?
     Must be in full-time status (9 credit hours) per semester working. Student employee must be able to work event night/weekend shifts. Shifts will be pre-scheduled, however event management is a required component.

    What behavioral expectations do you have? For example, what is your preferred communication timeline for a GA who needs to call out sick?
    This role is a business professional level position. GA will have more flexibility during the academic week, with an expectation that schedules can/will be driven by event planning schedule. Preferred communication can be either text or email- box office team uses google drive/sheets to communicate between undergraduate/GA/Professional Staff work scheduling.
