Counseling Services has many programs/areas that work to help benefit both
students and the greater campus community. We are always striving to be
intentional about ensuring that the work we do connects to strategic objectives
that we have for the mental health and wellbeing of our campus community. In
addition to analyzing the effectiveness or impact of our programs, it is also
important to be intentional about the way in which we organize and
communicate data to the campus community.
The Data Management GA position works closely with the Director of
Counseling Services, and other members of the Counseling Services
Leadership Team, to collect, analyze and publish data that helps tell the story
of the work of the Center, or help highlight areas of need or focus for the
campus community. This position requires working with the Leadership Team
to identify the types of data we need to collect, as well as working with the
Director to set up systems to analyze the data, as well as effective means of
communicating that information in effective ways across campus.

List any Learning Outcomes related to the GAs Academic Program.

     1. Learn to identify key programmatic objectives/outcomes.
    2. Identify the data that needs to be collected and analyzed in order to evaluate
the degree to which the objectives/outcomes have been met.
    3. Creating a variety of modalities to communicate the data to campus partners
    and the greater community.
    4. Learning to use the data to inform changes, edits or improvements that need
made to the program to improve its effectiveness.

Any restrictions to the type of student who would be eligible?

Any student with the needed skills is eligible to apply.

What behavioral expectations do you have? For example, what is your preferred communication timeline for a GA who needs to call out sick?
We expect all employees to agree and adhere to the confidentiality
expectations of working in Counseling Services. We expect people to develop
and maintain a consistent work schedule, and to communicate with their
supervisor if that plan needs edited, either in a short or long term way. We ask
that the need to be absent from work be communicated as soon as the
employee is aware of it, giving the Center as much notice as possible.
