NoJob Description and Key Responsibilities including Virtual/Remote Expectations: Rice Creek Field Station is a dynamic, state-of-the-art building and nature preserve 1 mile south of main campus, accessible via the Green Route bus. The station serves as a platform for field courses, research, and public education. The Rice Creek GA will join a small, dedicated team supporting the mission and functioning of the facility. Additionally, the GA will build experience in environmental education and interpretive design by facilitating field trips and taking on special projects. Graduate students in Education, Communication and Design, and the Sciences may find these learning outcomes especially relevant for their degrees.Any restrictions to the type of student who would be eligible? There are no restrictions, although applications from students in Education, Communication and Design, and Human-Computer Interaction are especially encouraged. What behavioral expectations do you have? For example, what is your preferred communication timeline for a GA who needs to call out sick? Our expectation that the GA and the existing team at Rice Creek will maintain regular communication. The GA will be consulted as to their preferred means, which could include email and text. Prompt notification in the event of calling out sick is appreciated. Overall, Rice Creek is looking for a GA who is a team player, with a positive, professional attitude and a willingness to help.
