Eligibility Requirements

To hold this assistantship, students must:

  • Maintain a minimum cumulative graduate GPA of 3.0.
  • Be registered for at least 9 graduate credits during each term of the assistantship.
  • Be enrolled as a full-time graduate student in good academic standing.
  • Current enrollment in a graduate degree or certificate program

Additional eligibility or program-specific requirements may apply as outlined by the Graduate Department and the appointing department.

Position Description, Key Responsibilities, & Qualifications

  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, Google Docs, and other software and social media programs Responsibilities
  • Assist office staff with various general office duties as needed, including reception and mail room duties
  • Should be able to answer questions regarding scheduling or transportation conflicts, applications, etc; and/ or be able to direct enquiries to appropriate individuals
  • Assist with CPP candidate data collection, input and retrieval via TK 20 and CPP shared Google drive documents
  • Review candidate resumes and cover letters and suggest quality edits
  • Assist with organization of mass emailing to communicate with candidates, faculty, cooperating teachers, and school administrators
  • Assist Director with special projects as they occur, including creative presentation of semester and yearly placement reports
  • Monitor and update CPP website/Face book/Twitter accounts. Maintain social media accounts, monitor CPP website for active links
  • Participate in all field placement staff meetings
  • Mentor CPP work-study interns
  • Assist OAII with updating daily calendar
  • Assist with mentor teacher recruitment correspondence and data collection of mentor teacher availability on recruitment forms
  • Assist with placement compliance with SOE policies and procedures, assist Director and Assistant Coordinator in ensuring placement diversity
  • Perform Specific duties not limited to the ones listed

Restriction to eligibility:

  • This graduate assistantship would benefit from access to a computer and email
