Eligibility Requirements
To hold this assistantship, students must:

Maintain a minimum cumulative graduate GPA of 3.0.

Be registered for at least 9 graduate credits during each term of the assistantship.

Be enrolled as a full-time graduate student in good academic standing.

Current enrollment in a graduate degree or certificate program
Additional eligibility or program-specific requirements may apply as outlined by the Graduate Department and the appointing department.
Position Overview
Preferred candidate will be able to handle multiple tasks in a busy, fast paced environment, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail. A desire to work as a team member in collaborative efforts such as planning and executing work related activities. The candidate will be able to speak and write effectively in a professional manner with students, faculty, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities

Research current practices to realize more efficient processes

Research the common practices that other Colleges are utilizing.

Research and develop a transfer equivalency update form.

Coordinate and update academic records area procedure manual.

Review current forms, processes, website to ensure consistent nomenclature matches policy/catalog.

Learn and participate in transfer credit processing, off campus study approval, data entry, assist with maintaining transfer course equivalencies.

Assist with any major projects and their implementation as a data integrity editor.
Required Qualifications
The applicant needs to be reliable and take initiative. Ability to analyze information; Be willing to research what the office needs to accomplish more efficiently. Managing data well is essential.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience reviewing information requests; excellent written and verbal communication skills; the ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel applications and other database applications and resources.
Behavior Expectations:
The applicant needs to work cooperatively in a team-based setting. Regular communication with supervisor is key. As soon as illness or conflict comes up communicate directly with the supervisor.

Strengthen research and analytical skills to better utilize the Registrar’s Office many forms and information requests so that the information can be generated more efficiently.
Learn how to be a better problem solver for the many requests the Registrar’s Office is tasked with and learn how to work collaboratively with all areas of the office.
Strengthen technology and communication skills, as well as organizational skills.
Any restrictions to the type of student who would be eligible?
No restrictions, but students with a background in Computer Science or information science - possible HCI, BHI or HEL majors.
