    Job Description and Key Responsibilities including Virtual/Remote Expectations:
    This position supports the Counseling Services Center (CSC) with mental health outreach across campus and involves both independent and collaborative work with CSC staff, peer educators, faculty, staff, and students. The GA will assist in peer educator programming and outreach, as well as support CSC events. They will also have the opportunity to create, plan, and facilitate their own outreach activities to support mental health across campus. The GA would work under the supervision of the CSC Outreach Coordinator. The student has flexibility to work in person and remotely for different elements of the position.

    Responsibilities include: planning and facilitating outreach activities for the Counseling Center, working closely with the Counseling Center Peer Educators, communicating with students, faculty, staff, departments, and student organizations, learning and utilizing social media and virtual outreach technologies, and assisting the Counseling Center in other outreach events.

    - Identify the mental health needs of the campus community
    - Develop creative methods for implementing mental health outreach
    - Gain leadership, communication, and collaboration skills associated with outreach
    - Gain experience as a team leader with the Counseling Center Peer Educator team
    - Plan, prepare, and facilitate outreach events, such as information tabling and presentations

    What behavioral expectations do you have? For example, what is your preferred communication timeline for a GA who needs to call out sick?
    - Student must report to the Outreach Coordinator, or Counseling Center staff if the Outreach Coordinator is unavailable.
    - In the event of illness or emergency, the student must contact the Outreach Coordinator or a Counseling Center staff member directly to notify staff of their needs or absence.
    - Student must attend agreed upon meetings, presentations, and events as decided in supervision with the Outreach Coordinator.
    - Student must document hours and activities performed while working and submit to the Outreach Coordinator bi-weekly
    - Student will follow confidentiality and reporting protocols associated with the Counseling Center and discussed in supervision and training.
